Overall though, Granular is a good distribution that really tries to set itself apart. If you have the time, download the iso and try it out. Even if you can't install it and give it a full test drive, you can always just boot the cd to a live environment and try it out there. Seriously, give it a try. It'll be one of the best things you do today....

Granular offers a visually stunning KDE, certainly the nicest implementation of it in any distro I've yet reviewed; once everything is configured, you enter an alabaster screen that loads all the modules necessary to run the liveCD. The applications menu is a far cry from the usual KDE kludge (sorry KDE fans, not my cup of tea); somewhat reminiscent of the Slab menu found in the more recent iteration of OpenSuse....

I am still a newbie when it comes to Linux and am impressed with your distro. I am mainly a Mandriva user-have it on my laptop, and wanted to try a new distro on my tower. I had tried Ulteo/Kubuntu and several others but either they did not work or were unstable. I look forward to a bright future for you ! :)

We are absolutely loving Granular Linux, this is hands-down the best Linux yet in my opinion. We have for the past
several years, on and off, tried various distros in between Winblows crashes, LOL. We first started with Mandrake 7,0 way back when... we have used so many different distributions, but since we weren't well versed with how to use Linux or get things configured, etc., we eventually gave up and went back to yucky Windows.
