Thanks for your comments guys, the trip to India was a great one, but I've learned my lesson to NEVER go back there during the summer ;D

Why is it so?  ???
Don't know if you know of the place, its called Fateh Nangal, its near Amritsar. I went there for a week to visit my dad's side of the family. They had no type of conditioning what so ever, I think they had like 1-2 air coolers, but I think they blew hot air more then they blew cold air. I got stung by all sorts of insects while at Fateh Nangal and got sick for a few days. The last time I went to India was in 2000, that time it was around October-November, weather was great then. ;D

Zard, to me, for the first week the temperatures seemed to be at least 150 degrees, but that may be a little over the top ;D

Talking about the Punjab side areas, it usually gets very hot around the month of June. So, I think, for you, it was co-incidentally not a good time to visit here.  ::)
