Thanks for your comments guys, the trip to India was a great one, but I've learned my lesson to NEVER go back there during the summer 
Why is it so? 
Don't know if you know of the place, its called Fateh Nangal, its near Amritsar. I went there for a week to visit my dad's side of the family. They had no type of conditioning what so ever, I think they had like 1-2 air coolers, but I think they blew hot air more then they blew cold air. I got stung by all sorts of insects while at Fateh Nangal and got sick for a few days. The last time I went to India was in 2000, that time it was around October-November, weather was great then.
Zard, to me, for the first week the temperatures seemed to be at least 150 degrees, but that may be a little over the top
