Does ndiswrapper help you out? That is in the repository.
Keep breathing, it is all you really have

I do have madwifi built, but nobody really has ever asked for it. So I have always just kept the packages to myself. Cause I use them for my laptop, and they do work quite well. So we'll need Anurag to ok it, but I can upload it, and he can make it available in the testing repo, and you can give it a try.

well, it is nice it is in the repo, but it complicates things a little when the only means of connecting is using ndiswrapper. it is, in my point of view, one of the must-have packages in a solid distro.

I downloaded the pclinuxos madwifi & dkms-madwifi and that works fine, then I enabled the test repo and updated to granular madwifi packages.
It is the compatibility and smoothnes that makes a distro stand out. not the glitch. IMHO. There was a lot of work put in Granular, so it would be a shame to get wasted. If I was a linux newbie, I would have to ditch it and get a different distro, just because I would not be able to connect to the net.

It's good to know you got it working. And as far as the wifi issues there are all kind of systems out there. Most people would just plug into an Ethernet card or dial up to get to the internet and get the updates that they need. Also not everything can be supported on the live cd it's just not possible.

But it's good to know you worked with it and got it running. I do hope you enjoy it.
