old monitor or driver video?

hi again!!! took my pc at work, the monitor is an old philips 107S (at home there's a samsung syncmaster 245B lcd, much better no?). so I started many times with granular but even in safe graphics mode it can't boot, at home everything's well. is monitor the problem?  windows got no problem instead . quien sabe ? who knows? I'm here.

We have never really put any thought into the development, for more compatibility with really old hardware. There are specific
distro's out there that pride themselves on that development. So if it works with the new monitor, but not the old, I would say use
the new one. And yes the problem is more than likely the monitor.

really no problem, chris! my admin should buy another one but I'm not a hopeful one about it
