I had problems trying to get it on a usb key also. I didn't get it to work. But then I think I was using the live cd that also gave me problems when I tried my first install on the PC.

Try formatting the usb drive with ext3 first, instead of fat32.

USB key was formatted FAT32
INSTALL from live CD: USB key was partitioned
Then I had to wait a long time, then everything stopped, and absolutely nothing was on the USB key
how formatting to ext3 would solve the problem is a tiny mystery for me...

On distrowatch, I tried to promote the excellent Indiana PCLOS (=Granular), but few people seem to react. I hope the Granular guys won't give up.

 Give up??
What does that mean... never heard of the term ;D

capricornus,

Just curious why that would be a mystery. Also, I don't see anyone at granular giving up on anything. So I am
even more curious about that question, and what brings you to that conclusion.

Fine! Keep it that way, please.
