Xandros was my first distro several years ago - it looked easy and user friendly. Quickly realized it was too limiting for me. Looked at Ubuntu, loaded a kde desktop on it and decided that was for me. Found Pclinuxos to be the best available kde distro for me.
As I grew more comfortable with linux I went from a dual boot (Xandros, XP) to a triple boot, and then more. I currently have about 9 distros booting on my machine. I like to see what is available out there and see what features distros have.
I would say my current prime distro is Pardus (running the 2008 RC) as it does everything I need well and looks good doing it. Anxiously waiting the final release of Pclinuxos 2009 to see if it can regain the crown as my top distro. My other 'core' distros, that I always have installed while I overwrite and play with others, are Arch, Sidux and Pclinuxos. The other distros I have installed currently are Sabayon 4 64, Crunchbang, CosmosisX, Mandriva 2009, and Vector 6 RC.
I tried Granular a while ago and liked what I saw but it wasn't quite there for me in comparison to other distros. I have been waiting for the release of 1.0 to give it a try again and I've downloaded it at home this morning and will be giving it a spin tonight when I get home. I'm hoping for good things.....
