Thanks for the compliment Chris... My "gift" actually comes handed down to me through my PAPA (my Mother's Father) and many members of my family are practicing/working artists. My talent, is actually more in natural mediums, such as paints, graphites, etc. I am actually fairly new to the whole Computer Graphics arena... I began with AI CS2 back last June (got a copy off a college student for $50.00)
But it was extremely frustrating to learn on my own, even with the tutorial disc.. so I gave it to my sister (who designs patterns for textile companies) Here work is seen in just about every store you go into all over the world, on various products... she is extremely well known and respected in her area of art, textiles & fashion design
From there, I found Linux around July, and Xara LX, the Gimp.... and I just play with it
My toughest area, is the "techie" end. I become easily frustrated as I am not overly computer savy... But Im slowly working on it
And, BTW... I see quite a few talented artists here...
Which is definitely to the greater benefit to the Granular Community
I think that given some time, getting to know one another... and working "together" as one mind, taking the best features from each.... Granular should, and will have quite an amazing look to it
