Granular Logo Enhancement

Let's see what you can do to make the present Granular logo look better. The text logo and the official logo of Granular are attached with this post. Download and try to enhance them. When done, reply in this thread with the worked upon logos attached with your reply. The best entry could make its way to the DVD edition of Granular 0.90. Best of luck!

When you mean Logo enhancement.

Does that also include enhancing the actual logo.. aka... the (four red petals) design ?

Yes, I mean the enhancement of that red-logo too; that's why I've attached it in my post (check that out).

I am crap at doing photoshop stuff, so I won't submit anything in that sense.

However, I'd like to make a suggestion.

Instead of four red petals, how about the top one being red, the Bottom one being Yellow, the left one being Blue and the Right one being Green. 

Such an arrangement matches the colour swatches used in the Microsoft flag

.




Since the most likely candidates to "Switch" over to Linux are going to be Windows users; the colours would  strike a familiar chord.

Aded to that, if someone could add a "transparent Glass" effect to those colours, as per these others logos, while making the Granular logo just a smidge bigger, then the whole thing would sing harmoniously.

The white one is better than the red one. 

I too liked the white one more than the red one...

And Aquamoon I do liked the Glass suggestion but would certainly not like to associate Granular in any way to MS, not even the colors (my opinion - no hard feelings).

I am not offended Raman. I do like the colours...but other than that...

I could almost see you screwing up your face at the thought of tainting Granular with anything that remotely resembles M$.

Well, I earn developing on Windows platform in the day & then work in the night to develop something that rivals MS.
I am not like so many who just go after MS about anything. I appreciate what MS has done in the technical field so far...
The fact is u cannot keep MS out of anything in the Software Industry. I can see it while others might not. Till others too see it, it's better that Granular doesn't resembles MS in any way (It doesn't harm to absorb positive energy from anything).
