Most of us will also notice that the PCLOS logo has also changed. Though, I must admit I liked the previous one better. :)

Apart from this news, here is a link to a nice interview with Texstar:

I downloaded it a couple of days before the "official" release and installed it in my wife's machine.  She seems happy.

One thing I noticed right away is that it is fast.  Really fast.  Boot time from a cold machine all the way to the desktop is a little less than 35 seconds.  Applications open with a snap - even Open office.

The only complaint I've noted is that KDE's Kaddressbook is missing a whole bunch of configurability, which has nothing to do with PCL.  That's a KDE issue which will probably be taken care of in the next release of KDE or maybe the one after.  At any rate, it's no problem for my wife who doesn't use it anyway.

Overall, in my never humble opinion, this PCL release rates a B+.  I'd give it an A if it was available in 64 bit.

It is seeming cool in that case. :)

I'm on PCLOS 2010 KDE version right now and it rocks. I noticed they implemented the BFS (BrainFuck Scheduler) into their kernel (which would explain the increased responsiveness.) Overall I'm liking it. :)

Haha - BFS - interesting sounding acronym. 8)
