Hello readers,

I am Yatin here. Hope u know me. Well I recently reviewed the version 0.10 of Granular Linux and found it a hell lot opposite the myths about linux.

First of all hats off to Anurag Bhandari. He's the one who started it all and any mistake or short comings by him is only because he did his best in a small package. His first attempt, that too being a student, at the first ever Linux distro from Indian soils has been amazing.

I didn't like much of the GUI ( Graphical User Interface) but that was because of my different taste and likings from Anurag's. But overall the package had all the things i need including some I never knew. there are all the software I needed for imaging, word procesing, and daily dose of music and movies. there is ample amount of software for internet and networking also. As for those who are programmers and developers linux has always been friendly to them with lots of editors and a powerful GCC compiler in the background.
Though the live cd lacked tutorials but will be covered in the next release as I have already started on it.
As off course there will be more of common and useful softwares and many tutorials to get u started.
I am looking forward to the next release as it will much much better than the current 0.10.

I conclude the review saying that except the GUI it has all worked for me. I got all the applications I need and its all really simple to use if you get the hang of it.
Hence a great piece of work from Anurag.

P.S.: desprate for ver 0.12.
