If you're guessing PCLOS, you guessed wrong. I am using Granular, but it (the forum) thinks I'm using PCLOS. Weird, eh?

Well, I'm not sure when the .js reading went wonky around here, I have no access to the back-end for the forums so, I can't tell ya why this is happening.
I am using Granular as well, but I use the Flock web-browser, but ever since I tried the XBMC liveCD even Gkremllin shows my system to be XMBC rather than Granular?
But, as you can see, the forum software reads my distro and browser info correctly... I wish I knew how you could fix this.

All I can say Piki, as far as this issue and any others using Granular (especially repo-wise) is to hang in there if you like... I am not certain when development will get back underway.
I am unable to do much regarding tech assistance, and seems there is not anyone else avail. at this time to do so either. We have just wound up in a very awkward predicament and even I am beginning to have some issues I do not know how to resolve. :-\

I'm certainly going to hang in there, I tend to stick with small distros that appear to have a lot of promise, and Granular is one of them ;) Anyways, it's not a big problem, just a small annoyance, which is why I posted here in General Talk rather than the support forum.

So the development of the unity- based granular isn't going forward as planned? That's disappointing, I was really looking forward to that.
The machine turns, turns and must keep on turning forever. It is death if it stands still.

It is going forward. Unity Linux is under constant development at the moment.
Anurag, who is the lead dev/creator/packager for Granular had to relocate to another part of his country, while he trains for a new job. And during that time, he is extremely limited to the web on a personal base (such as for working on Granular) The company he was accepted by is one of the best in his country and is one of the best to work for, so he needs to focus on his training.
The Unity base system is still being worked on so there is still time before we are ready to release any public releases with it as the base.

Once Anurag is finished with training, I know he is eager to get back to working on the next Granular release. Meanwhile, the graphics team is working on a whole new image/design for that coming release. :)

The simple explanation (and it must be if I can understand it) is that the Firefox browser is "branded."  So if you upgrade Firefox from PCLinux repositories, this forum will show that you are using PCL.  I suspect the same holds true for other browsers.

galjaman just nailed it on the head,
You would have to get into the browsers .js file in order to change this, but I don;t see the point at this stage in our situation ;)

Rightly said, galjaman. As it has been time we updated Firefox in our Granular 1.0's repo, people upgrading their browser eventually end up with a newer version present in PCLOS's repo. Granular 2.0 is being worked upon with such issues in mind. Hopefully, you'll see a lot better Granular soon.
