This page says it all:

Looking at the screenshots of the RC release of KDE 4.3, I was really impressed, really-really impressed. Impressed to an extent that I could not hold myself from sharing it with you guys. If KDE 4.2 changed the way people perceived KDE4, KDE 4.3 might well change the way people perceive desktop environments.

Anybody know a way to speed up the calendar?

Maybe we should ask about that from Stephan Hawking? ;D ;)

There's KDE 4.3 beta2 available in the Unity repository. To try it out, issue this command from within Unity:
Quote
smart install task-kde-minimal

But the differences between beta2 and the final release are going to be huge, especially the kicker and the kickoff menu.

Also, I found out today, that if you have the latest Mandy installed, Unity packages are binary compatible, so you can like to the Unity repository and upgrade KDE using their RPMs.

Yep, and vice-versa is also true. One can use a Mandriva repo within Unity too, happily. :)

Just installed it on Kubuntu 9.04 a few days ago. It was really nice! It added a couple widgets to my desktop, though. I easily removed them, but it was nice to see they have them available. :)
I won't be able to test it more in-depth for a few days, though - my dad is doing some painting/remodeling of my room and my brother's room. Luckily we have a family laptop stationed in our living room, from which I am typing this.

Anyways, it's good to see KDE getting better and better.
