What about a GNOME Granular and a KDE Granular?

The GNOME Granular thing has been discussed quite some times here. Although it would be a good idea to have such a thing, we currently do not have the capacity to build and maintain it.

Yeah this is one of those things that have been put up on a shelf for a later date. We need more help to build something like gnome. Although I'd really like to build it myself, it's just a whole lot of work.

Mandriva One 2009 (GNOME) has replaced Ubuntu 8.04 on my PC.  ;D

Boy, what an OS this has turned out to be.

Hehe  ;) It's quite a piece of work isn't it. I mean I was rather impressed by it, actually shocked. They have done a really nice job with it.

hehehe that is what I did...only I went from Linux Mint 6 to Mandriva 2009 GNOME on both. However now on the HDD that MDV 09 was on, I have tried CrunchBang Linux which is based on Ubuntu. But like I was telling Chris, it is good but Granular just seems to work better. Even with KDE vs the OpenBox WM, Granular seems better.

So I will probably put Mandriva 09 back on that HDD maybe....I am eyeing a new 80G drive for the testbed laptop. That may get Granular since it is a new drive and then I may put Mandriva (MDV) on that 40G

Anurag, you will like it.
