I really like having a spell checker to check my post spelling. That way I don't look so dump.

Have you tried the one already in Firefox?

No I haven't. After reading your post I looked but don't see it.

Vampirefo is right, Firefox already has a spell checker. When you type in anything in the text box to post a topic, the wrongly spelled words (or the words not in dictionary) get underlined with a red dotted line; you must have noticed this. But mind you, the standard download of Firefox or the version included in Granular supports words from American English only.

Wow you learn something new every day. I saw the red underline but didn't know I could right click to check the spelling. Many thanks to both of you. Ed

Your mispelling, gave me a little chuckle.

Thanks for that Ed. :)

And friends we have a spell checker built in with this forum. Well I have turned it off for everyone as our server don't support the feature.

AND FireFox has built in spell checker & there is a very good plugin available for IE at    http://www.iespell.com/

And if you prefer another browser, like Flock or Epiphany, the Firefox spellchecker should work fine for them, also.

If you use a word or spelling the Firefox spellchecker doesn't know , there is an "add to dictionary" option in the right click menu. As I frequently use British spelling, rather than American, I have found this quite useful.

Re British and American spellings.

The only times I get really baffled is when the amount of 1 Billion is mentioned.

Seems like there is a BIG difference in just how much a Billion represents.

If it's Dollars...I'll take the American version.

If its money I owe, I'll take the British version.
