Welcome to Granular Forums.

As a member of our community we want you to feel comfortable and at ease.

At the same time, (because we a sharing and open community) we ask that you agree to and abide by our simple rules. They are designed for both your protection and the strengthening of the community as a whole.

MEMBERSHIP.

(1) You are entitled to one account.
In setting up  your single account, please select an appropriate User Name that is not offensive or one that uses the name of any well known identity. Ie, do not use swear words or Pseudonyms such as Hitler, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs etc. You may find it amusing, but the rest of community may not.)  Also, when selecting an avatar, ensure it is not likely to cause offense or be too distracting.

POSTING.

(2) As far as possible, use plain, unadorned English.
Check spelling and grammar. Be as clear in your language as you can be.

(3) Please do not post in all caps, bold, gigantic, or colored text unless granted permission by a Moderator.

(4) When posting, please check to see if the topic or question already exists. If not, then place your query in the appropriate forum area. If you are unsure where it should go, please ask a moderator before posting.

(5) Avoid posting the same thread topic in multiple forums.

(6) Please do not spam, or post any illicit, offensive, illegal materials or links to such materials.

(7) At all times, respect other posters privacy and do not attempt to steal their identity.

(8 ) Do not flame, troll, flame~bait or hijack threads. Any form of threat  towards other members, moderators or Administration either, direct, veiled, or Pm'd will not be tolerated.

(9) We prefer that posters avoid  posting topics related to race, religion or politics.
(Experience has shown that such topics invariably lead to unproductive flamewars).

(10) Do not post Homework threads and expect others to do your work for you.
It is unethical and in the end you will have learned nothing but how to cheat.

LEGALITIES.

 (1) Any attempt to electronically hijack, attack or otherwise introduce viruses, trojans or any other form of malware or coding, etc in relation to  this forum or allied Granular services, will not be tolerated and legal action may be initiated against such perpetrators.

Granular Forums and its owners will not be held accountable in any court of law for the libelous or slanderous infractions or violations by individual members in breach of the agreed to rules.

MODERATORS & ADMINISTRATION.

Moderators and Administration have to power to alter, move, lock or otherwise delete any topic, reply, paragraph, sentence, word or image, if it violates any of the above rules.

SUSPENSION or TERMINATION of MEMBERSHIP.

While it our wish to encourage positive and fruitful interaction between members, we nevertheless reserve the right to temporarilly suspend or permanently terminate any members' account in order to protect the reputation of the Granular Community as a whole.

In consequence, a "Three strikes and your Out" policy applies to all members.

Violation No 1. You will receive a private Pm outlining the problem and what action a moderator or administor will ask you to alter or change. In some case, moderators or adminstration will carry out the action first and notify you afterwards.

Violation No 2. You will be censured publicly.

Violation No 3. Depending on the severity of the offence, your membership will be suspended or permanently deleted.

In this last case, no discussion will be entered into, nor will you be permitted to set up another account.
We have tools at our disposal to cross check account details.

CLOSING COMMENTS
